Article & Photos by Jim Bacon

If you like the zero shiny factor on your jeep or want to add a bit of individuality to your rig, then this simple mod is for you.

All you need is some primer (not required) and the color you like via the rattle can.  If you are a perfectionist, take some fine sand paper, or a green scrub pad and slightly rough up the surface to be painted.  I bypassed that and used a heavy duty primer made for heavy rust, because it contains twice the adhering power than normal primer.

  • Remove your head light bezels by unscrewing the 3 torx screws on each bezel.
  • Spray the head light bezels with primer, let it dry.
  • Spray the head light bezels with color paint of choice, let it dry.
  • Spray the head light bezels with clear enamel (not required), let it dry.
  • Your done!
